If we compare the basic configuration (regular) BMW X5 / X6 and the charged M-series, the specialist will recognize at a glance. First of all, the updated grille is thrown, aggressive front and rear bumpers, with large air intakes. The side mirrors are also aerodynamically modified. At the rear, the crossovers received 4 exhaust pipes each. Competition versions will receive black décor elements.

The new BMW X5 and X6 M-series are based on 21 ″ M Sport alloy wheels with mixed tires. There are wider tires at the back, standard at the front. If you want more, then for a separate surcharge, 22 ″ discs can be installed on the rear axle. As for the units, under the hood of the M-ok there is a 4.4-liter biturbo V8 and the xDrive all-wheel drive system. The basic equipment will be able to produce 600 horses and 750 Nm of torque. From zero to 96 km / h, the crossover can accelerate in 3.8 seconds.
A more powerful version of the BMW X5 or X6 M Competition uses the same engine, but boosted to 625 horsepower. The maximum engine torque remains the same at 750 Nm. Thus, the top-end equipment from standstill to 96 km / h will be able to accelerate in 3.7 seconds. The manufacturer limited the maximum speed at around 250 km / h. By adding the M Driver package, the top speed will increase to 285 km / h. One thing that remains standard is the drivetrain. Everywhere it is an 8-speed automatic.

Among other differences between the charged X5 and X6 M-ok: adaptive suspension, with an active system for suppressing body roll, a modified steering wheel, a modernized chassis, as well as a modified brake system for six pistons of the caliper. For a separate surcharge, they offer to install carbon-ceramic brakes. With regard to driving modes, there are three of them: Sport, Sport Plus and Comfort.

There are still some details from the base version. For example, the crossover got the BMW Live Cockpit Prefessional multimedia system, based on a 12.3 ″ touch screen. The interior of the charged BMW X5 and X6 M-Series features decorative stitching. Separate buttons for selecting M-modes are installed for the steering wheel, as well as several additional modes for setting the digital instrument panel.

According to preliminary data, the start of sales of the BMW X5 and X6 M-series begins in spring 2020. The basic version of the charged Boomer in Europe will start at 125,000 euros. The top-of-the-line Competition trim will be € 10,000 more expensive.
