Lada Vesta was presented relatively recently, at the Moscow International Motor Show, which was held from 8 to 12 September this year. Since then, only 2 months have passed, and the start of sales of Lada Vesta has already taken place.

The car, according to the assurances of representatives of "AvtoVAZ", will be revolutionary for the company. It embodies the latest technologies that were previously inherent only in foreign-made cars. In addition, the appearance of the model will radically change.

Lada Vesta design

Many believe that the main mistake of the domestic auto industry is the basing of new models on old ones. So Bo Andersson went the other way. The prototype was Lada X-Ray, which was previously presented as a concept. It was from here that the main details of the image were taken, such as the X-shaped radiator grill, stamping on the profile. Everything in order.

From the front, the model looks unusual. At first, VAZ produced "classics" that had no aerodynamics, but were pretty for their time. Then came the four-wheel drive models, however, with a slightly unfinished appearance. Even Priora, which is based on the Lada 110, is not complete. Lada Granta is a brainchild developed by the French.

Therefore, with all the courage we can say that Lada Vesta is the first Russian car, which is not bad in terms of not only aerodynamics, but also style. So, for example, the chrome trim of the radiator grille, which smoothly spreads in the form of head optics, gives the car solidity.

Another distinctive feature is the exact fit of parts, unprecedented for Russian-made cars. There are also inserted small fog lamp eyes, which are enclosed in bizarre bumper shapes.

Lada Vesta's profile is a bit unusual. Perhaps no other automaker has allowed itself to make it so voluminous. Moreover, "voluminous" does not mean massive, large. This means that the stamping here is so deep that it visually stretches the model a little, and also distracts from the location of the doors. Thus, the new sedan seems to be one. There are several options for alloy wheels to choose from, among which there are 16 inches.

Many people like to compare the appearance of foreign cars and Russian ones. So, the back of the Lada Vesta is very pretty and can compete with even the most eminent design Moors. Here, too, you can see the "X-concept", which is enclosed in the taillights. The lower edge of the bumper is finished in black plastic, but the exhaust pipe, which has no trim, spoils the look a little.

Lada Vesta interior

The interior of the new sedan, according to representatives of Yandex, aroused the greatest interest among "seekers". So, the most popular request was “photo of the Lada Vesta salon”. No wonder, because this is really a breakthrough, in the literal sense of the word, for the domestic car industry, let's start from the main point.

The driver's seat can be adjusted in height, but only mechanically. The lumbar support roller is also adjustable. This is not to say that the finishing materials are great, but when compared with the same Renault Sandero, here they are a little better. The seat backs are finished with perforated fabric and an armrest is installed in the center.

The dashboard is also made of high-quality plastic, however, there are suspicions that in the cold there will still be "crickets" until the interior warms up. The center console is simple and functional. In the maximum configuration, a 7-inch touchscreen display is installed here, which can display information from a navigator or a rear-view camera, which is installed in a regular place.

Slightly below is the air conditioning control unit, as well as connectors for connecting a telephone or a sound source for the AUX connector. On the podium, as already mentioned, a touchscreen display is located, next to which you can see a slot for installing an SD card.

The instrument cluster, like the steering wheel, has many functions. There is an on-board computer display, a speedometer, a tachometer, and several other pointer indicators. On the steering wheel you can see the buttons for controlling the radio tape recorder, cruise control, as well as the hog computer. In general, for "our" these are new items.

Another point that I would like to draw your attention to is the interior lighting unit. It is equipped with a special button for calling the rescue services, which, in turn, determines the position of the vehicle using the signals from the GSM receiver, as well as the GLONASS geolocation system. The second row boasts a third headrest, although three adults will not be very comfortable here. The armrest is also installed. The luggage compartment volume of the Lada Vesta 2015 is 480 liters, a normal result.

Lada Vesta: specifications

Only one power unit can be installed on this car, which is already familiar to us, since it is installed on the Lada Grantu Liftback. It has a displacement of 1.6 liters and develops 106 horsepower. The maximum speed of Lada Vesta is 178 km / h on a robot or mechanic. Acceleration to 100 km / h will take 12.8 seconds on any type of transmission. Fuel consumption is also the same and amounts to 6.6 and 8.9 liters of gasoline on the highway and in the city, respectively.

Lada Vesta: configurations and prices

Here AvtoVAZ did its best. The car is delivered to the market in nine trim levels. The price of Lada Vesta Classic, this is the name of the basic configuration, is 514 thousand rubles. For this money, the buyer will receive an uphill start-up assistance system, a driver's pillow, power steering, an on-board computer, a fabric interior, front power windows, standard audio preparation, metallic paintwork, and steel wheels. This is where the list ends, as it is already clear, the manufacturer decided not to create a bunch of option packages, but to make many complete sets that do not differ much from each other in terms of equipment and price. This is why we will not cover all nine.

The price of Lada Vesta Luxe XV Line is 667 thousand rubles. This package includes power windows in a circle, a cooled glove box, driver and front passenger airbags, air conditioning, cruise control, a rear view camera, rear parking sensors, heated mirrors and windshield, multifunction steering wheel, heated front seats, aluminum pedals, standard navigation, audio system with AUX, Bluetooth, but no CD. There will also be a central locking with an immobilizer.

Competitors

Perhaps, AvtoVAZ decided that Vesta has a very place in the niche of budget sedans. But the question is, will he be able to withstand the kind of competition that the already held Logan and Sandero will make? And maybe even Chinese cars, like Lifan Solano, or Cherie. Time will show. One thing is certain - the first batch of 1000 pieces was sold on pre-order.
